In Europe and North America, "tens of thousands of woodland ecosystems" were "ravaged by bark beetles and related insects" (Capatides and Learish, 2022). Forests are essential for human lives. Deforestation causes climate change, wind, animal extinction, starvation, and soil erosion. Also, it can decrease groundwater levels and increase greenhouse gas emissions.
