Due to climate change, “over 23 million people across East Africa are facing a critical shortage of water and food" (Capatides and Learish, 2022). The rivers are essential for human life, and dry rivers devastate peoples and their environment. Dry riverbeds reduce drinking water and destroy agriculture and marine life.
